Jamie Anderson Wouldn't
Published in School & Library Binding by Annick Pr (March, 1998)
Authors: Carol Meredith and Lorrie Szekat
Average review score:

a fun book for children
I thought this book was a lot of fun, and so did some children I heard at a reading. For those of you who like content, it also has lots of colours and numbers. Mainly, however, it's a good story and one I think children can relate to.

Janet Reno: Doing the Right Thing
Published in Hardcover by John Wiley & Sons (June, 1994)
Author: Paul Anderson
Average review score:

Sound writting
Anderson creates a very "human" view of our Attorney General. He address many 'rumors' and puts them to rest, rather well. This book is far more educational than One might expect, and delves into the relm of politics. Anderson defines The A.G. as a social reformist, and I think he made a correct assessment of her life long pursuits to make this country a better place. Anderson will have you cheering and praising Janet Reno. I was well pleased with this work.

The Japanese Film
Published in Paperback by Princeton Univ Pr (01 February, 1983)
Authors: Joseph L. Anderson, Donald Richie, and Akira Kurosawa
Average review score:

Essential reading on Japanese film and industry.
To be quite honest - I am suprised that nobody has reviewed this book yet. While orginally released in 1959 - the one you see above is an updated and expanded version from 1982.

This is essential reading for die-hard buffs and students of film because it traces the historical development of Japanese cinema. Furthermore, there is a focus on industry rather than being overwhelmed with massive chapters on Ozu, Kurosawa etc. This makes it a useful point of departure from which to head into greater depths of analysis and specific interests.

Books on Japanese film history and industry are few in numbers with current trends tending to be very academic with specific focal concerns. Any reader who desires texts on specific topics and directors will greatly benefit from reading this book.

Japanese Rage: Japanese Business and Its Assault on the West
Published in Hardcover by Four Walls Eight Windows (June, 1992)
Author: Leon Anderson
Average review score:

Japanese Rage
This book is a response to Shintaro Ishihara, a government minister in Japan, who wrote "The Japan That Can Say No." It is a cogent appraisal of the predatory nature of Japanese trade practices. However, it doesn't stop there. Mr. Anderson also details the failures and short-sightedness of American business planning and trade policies. A worthwhile read!

Required Reading for the Java-Curious
If you're looking for examples of Java in the real world, this is the book for you. This book hits the mark with a case-study approach to describing Java's practical uses. There's little Java hype, which is refreshing. The reader gets a sense of the possibilities of the new language and the system development paradigm that goes along with it

Jesus Loves Me Devotional
Published in Hardcover by Thomas Nelson (26 July, 1999)
Authors: Angela Abraham, Ken Abraham, Terry Anderson, and Kathleen Dunne
Average review score:

A versatile devotional book
I've been looking for a good devotional book for my 6-year-old daughter. This is the one I like most. It contains many important topics to assure children's feelings, to establish their value, and help them grow spiritually and emontionally. For each topic, it starts with a simple song, which attracts kid's mind, and help them prepared for the devotion. Then, it leads kids for a simple prayer, some scripture, stories, and real-life application. I like this sequence, which brings the focus from above and then applied what have learned to daily life. To bring your children to Christ, to shape them with Godly characters, establish good devotional habit is the key. And, I found this book is a wonderful tool to help them start early. "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Prov. 22:6)
